Done.

I haven't checked in the required changes to Makefile yet.  They require
Andrew's patch which started this thread.

Andrew, please check in that patch which started this thread.  If you
wish, you can also check in the obvious Makefile changes regarding
solib-null.[co].  Or, if you prefer, just let me know when it's in,
and I'll take care of it.
