Unfortunatly that is not a possibility as my kernel goes to big to
fit in the limited ROM I have if I compile the TCP/IP support into the
kernel.

Hello Agust,

Perhaps you could run ppp on the serial line to get to TCP/IP protocol.
Then use telnet for the console access, ftp for the file transfer,
and normal TCP/IP for gdb server.

Just a thought,

I am developing an embedded linux system on a platform (AMD Elan SC400)
where I only have one serial line available for all communications with the
host.
I.e. I have to use the same line for console (minicom), file transfer (rzsz)
and remote gdb with gdbserver.
My question is: has anybody been successfull in doing that and if so how?

Best regards
Gusti
