gdb-7.3 branch FROZEN

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to fix the mess I created when I mistyped the branchpoint
date. I'll do that by applying each missing change (except for the
nightly update of the version date) to the branch.  Please refrain
from making changes on the branch until I'm done.

Groumpf, something happened and CVS apparently did not take into
account the timestamp I gave it.  I think it might have been because
it did not like the format I used to give the timestamp, but as
far as I can tell, the branch got created on the HEAD at the time,
which is pretty much what I wanted to do in practice.  So I got
lucky in the end...

Branch UNFROZEN.  But we need to think of getting off CVS sometime
soon, after all...

This gdb-7.3 release seems to be cursed! :-(

The pre-release is out, and we'll see what comes out of it.
If nothing else comes up, we might have to make a hard decision,
and release with OpenBSD as a known problem (similar to what we
did after we discovered very late that mips-irix was broken the
day before we released).
