Hello world,
I noticed the "The LTTng trace format" document was las updated in 2008, 
I am going to try to write a java version of the lib and would like to 
make sure it is up to date. Could I get a confirmation that the file is 
the up to date?

No, it is very likely *not* up to date. You should first update the
document so it matches the LTTng implementation.
