I need to quote {} as literal characters.

I tried

"You can specify the arguments to the flag inside \{\} immediately
following the flag."

and

"You can specify the arguments to the flag inside {{}{}} immediately
following the flag."

But make info errors on both.  Is there a macro/function to quote a
literal right and left brace?
