Hello

I wish to know a-to-z of writing a source level degubber(e.g., a gdb for some other target). I do not know how to write a debugger, though I am comfortable
for writing/retargetting a C-compiler. Could someone please provide me some pointers/books where I can get such information.

cheers

kumar

The only book I'm aware of that is an introduction is
"How Debuggers Work" by Jonathan P Rosenburg, published
by Wiley. Now out of print, I think (did not check amazon or
anyone else today).

Not a book I particularly recommend.

The gdb internals document and the gdb source code
are much better sources of information.
