Hi all,
I saw a presentation of Coverity's static code analysis tools last
week, and they happened to mention that they have set up a free scan
of open source projects (see http://scan.coverity.com), and that gdb
is included. I asked for and received access.
Their scan found about 250 possible bugs such as reference thru
potentially-null pointers and allocations without frees.
I expect to be submitting patches for some. Just a heads-up...

Yay!
I registered for access too (they announced it on the list quite a
while ago), but never managed to fix any of them. It's been creeping
back up my task list lately.
