I believe that the GCC 4 issues for most targets have been solved now.
OK if I commit my patch to turn on -Werror by default now?

I guess so. I know some targets will fall down; there's a few gotchas
in the Windows hosting (not added by my recent commits, but not fixed
by them either). But we're pretty close.
