Hi ,
I am using kgdb 1.6 on linux kernel 2.4.20-6. When I give info threads
command it shows me something like " ignoring packet error....remote
thread information could not be retrieved"...what could be the problem
.....it reports the same even with p jiffies...but otherwise it responds
well to other commands like break ..cont etc .

That is a function of the stub - ask the kgdb maintainers.
