It's fake.  No one has passwords on sourceware.org.

In fact, I think it is safe to say that any email which asks you to
email them your name and password is coming from a scum bag and should
be ignored.

I block the email addresses of any piece of email that I see like this
and feed it into the spam filter so that the contents will also have a
high probability of being detected as spam.
