FWIW I've been looking at this part of dwarf3draft8 recently and this
patch is correct. There are a handful of new CFI instructions in
dwarf3, but Mark Kettenis added these in January,

But Mark didn't make the modification to recognize the version==3
header.
BTW Paul, once your patch is approved could you get the little typeo in
Mark's ChangeLog entry ("DW_CFA_def_cfa_exporession") while you're
committing?
NB: My approval of this patch gets you nothing, but I thought I'd throw
it out there as an informed 3rd party. ;)
