Hi,

This patch series is a reworked version of Sérgio's original submission of
the PC476 support patches. Each patch compiles when applied, provided the
previous ones in the series are applied too.

The code has the following improvements:

- it now compiles on machines with older kernel headers (though I had
to include the whole new ptrace.h contents into ppc-linux-nat.c)
- has a few bugfixes that we noticed later.
- incorporates some changes from Eli's comments. Not all of them are
addressed yet, unfortunately. They will, but I wanted to have something
  out soon.

BTW, the thread for the kernel part of the new ptrace interface for
BookE support:

What's the decision regarding the new *-range commands? I see they
are still being introduced. We have 1 voice against that and one in
favor. If you are not convinced by what I wrote against them, I'd
like to hear more opinions before we decide.

Just in case you are referring to my answer as in favor, I should
say that I'm more like 50-50, or only slightly in favor. I am not
against the syntax you suggested provided that it does not complicate
the implementation too much.
