The problem is the size of the stuff you need:

$ du -sc build/bsd/bsd_i486_compiler2/ build/bsd/jdk-bsd-i586/
562996	build/bsd/bsd_i486_compiler2/
745016	build/bsd/jdk-bsd-i586/
1308012	total

I should try something smaller...
