Jim, you are welcome to use those directives, now that we require
Texinfo 4.0 or later, but AFAIK there's no policy in GDB to disallow
use of their older equivalents.

Your docs patch is approved.  Sorry I didn't do that before, we had a
nasty problem with our mail server down here, so I never knew about
your original message until now (had to catch up via list archives).
