It's definitely much better than the mainline. I confirm what Elena 
pointed out - mainline dies with:

/ttt/64/gdb-head-new/gdb/regcache.c:172: internal-error: 
init_regcache_descr: Assertion `!REGISTER_VIRTUAL_TYPE_P ()' failed.

BTW Here is a log of the testsuite of the branch:
