hi folks.

i needed this patch to correctly guess to use "macos", as
configure.guess is giving me `powerpc-apple-darwin5.2'.

OK to commit?

.mrg.

	* configure.host (powerpc-*-darwin*): Set gdb_host=macos.

No, you don't want to use the "macos" host, since a) it's for
MacOS 7/8/9, and b) it's scheduled to be evaporated. Darwin
needs its own host file, which will resemble the FreeBSD config
more than anything else.

Matthew,

Check the apple source dropping
(ftp://sources.redhat.com/pub/gdb/<something>/apple/
for what apple selected as the ``host name''.

I also consider it a bug that you even need to to be tweeking
configure.host to build a cross debugger. What happens if you just add
a wild card and set gdb_host to unknown (I'm guessing)?

Andrew

BTW, digging around I found:

case "${host}" in

*-*-nextstep*)          gdb_host=nextstep ;;
*-apple-rhapsody*)      gdb_host=rhapsody ;;
*-apple-macos10*)       gdb_host=macosx ;;
*-apple-darwin*)        gdb_host=macosx ;;
