Hi Eli,

the first line was not separate from its text, in both .info and in .pdf,
mostly obvious.

I would prefer just '@table' without formatting (not '@table @code') but one
has to put something there.  Most of the items override the formatting anyway.

That's what "@asis" is for.

However,...

The problem here was that the formatting of the original @item line
was incorrect.  In an itemized list, @item should be on a line by
itself, like this:

  @itemize @bullet
  @item
  In @file{~/.gdbinit}: @code{add-auto-load-safe-path ~/src/gdb}.
  Specify this trusted directory (or a file) as additional component of the list.

Etc.

I don't mind going to @table, if you find that prettier.  But please
do use @asis, and then give each part its correct markup (@file,
@code, @kbd, etc.).
