Hi Paul,
I'm building on ppc for the SPU target:
--build=powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu \
--host=powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu \
--target=spu.
I've setup a daily build script primarily for testing gcc with newlib which 
builds the gdb too.
