Hello,

based on the discussion with Mark I've re-done the patch
without trying to modify the CANNOT_FETCH/STORE_REGISTER
mechanism, except for moving the mips-linux versions of
those from an NM file macro override to a gdbarch property.
This does change mips-linux cross-debugging, but gdbserver
cannot fetch/store those registers anyway.

At some future time we can then think of ways to eliminate
the cannot_fetch/store_register gdbarch callbacks as well,
but that isn't really important now.

The patch set now has only 4 parts; the first two are
completely unchanged from the first try:
http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2007-04/msg00222.html
http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2007-04/msg00223.html
the original third patch is missing, and the mips-linux
and alpha-linux patches are adapted.

I'd appreciate further comments. If you don't see any
further problems, I'm planning of committing this version
by end of this week.

Bye,
Ulrich
