This is a regression with g++ 2.95.3 -gdwarf-2 and we've decided not to fix it, so I want to document it. By the way, this file needs (1) a copyright notice and (2) to be updated from "gdb 6.0" to "gdb 6.1". Leaving those issues aside -- okay to commit this? I'm going to edit it after the branch is cut - when we know the release really is "6.1" but given its a done deal, feel free to tweak it now. For (C), what of NEWS, others? Not sure what the text should be. Is there something we can steal from GCC? Andrew ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 5+ messages in thread

FWIW, the Emacs's README doesn't have any copyright notice, while PROBLEMS has this (near its end): Copyright 1987,88,89,93,94,95,96,97,98,1999,2001,2002 Free Software Foundation, Inc. Copying and redistribution of this file with or without modification are permitted without royalty provided this notice is preserved. while its NEWS starts like this: Copyright (C) 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. See the end for copying conditions. and the end says: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright information: Copyright (C) 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
