gdb-980122 build problem

Hello Cygnus,
    I am attempting to test the gdb-980122 snapshot on a Digital Unix
machine and I can not get configure to be happy.  For example:

roadrunner> ./configure --target=alpha-dec-osf3.2
Configuring for a alphaev5-dec-osf3.2 host.
Created "Makefile" in /tmp_mnt/net/halfpint/group/jlnance/src/gdb-980122
configure: error: *** Gdb does not support host alphaev5-dec-osf3.2
Configure in /tmp_mnt/net/halfpint/group/jlnance/src/gdb-980122/gdb failed, exiting.

I get similar messages on Digital Unix 4.0b and Digital Unix 3.2c both
with and without a --target= switch to configure.

Hi Jim,

The gdb@cygnus.com is a better mailing list for stuff like this.
gdb-patches@cygnus.com is intended for submitting patches.

Try configuring with just "./configure", or if you want to specify
your host, try "./configure --host=alpha-dec-osf3.2".  --target is
for another type of development altogether and probably isn't what
you're meaning to do here.
