It appears that lttng-tools is currently out of sync with lttng-ust and lttng-modules in Debian and sid (unstable), and missing in Debian stretch (testing). It appears that this situation has been ongoing for a while. The following search: https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=lttng shows the situation: - sid (unstable): lttng-ust* : 2.7.2-1 lttng-modules* : 2.7.2-1 lttng-tools: 2.6.0-1ppc64el1 liblttng-ctl0: 2.6.0-1ppc64el1 liblttng-ctl-dev: 2.6.0-1ppc64el1 - stretch (testing): lttng-ust* : 2.7.2-1 lttng-modules* : 2.7.2-1 lttng-tools: liblttng-ctl0: liblttng-ctl-dev: In the currently situation, users need to build lttng-tools from source to use lttng-ust and lttng-modules on Debian testing/sid, which defeats the purpose of distribution packages. What can we do, as upstream, to help solve this packaging issue ? Thanks, Mathieu -- Mathieu Desnoyers EfficiOS Inc. http://www.efficios.com
