Ok, I see. The problem is more obvious if you enter the commands
manually:
(gdb) define z
Type commands for definition of "z".
End with a line saying just "end".
>define hook-stop
>echo hi
>end
(gdb)
"define" doesn't properly recognize a nested define.
Could you file a bug report for this?
