Line 635 is:

  @table @gcctabopt

And gcctabopt is defined near the beginning:

  @macro gcctabopt{body}
  @code{\body\}
  @end macro

So I wonder why this didn't work for you.  (And why are you building
Gas documentation while building GDB?)
