Most likely something uses realpath when opening files. Looks like
exec_file_attach -> openp -> xfullpath.

That path is surprising. I would have expected
/usr/lib/debug/mounts/inst-sys/... Does "show sysroot"
show anything? What about "show debug-file-directory"?
