Date: Tue, 17 Jul 2001 11:12:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <200107171811.LAA30792@bosch.cygnus.com> (raw)

I built some hppa1.1-hp-hpux10.20 about six months ago (before
no_shared_libraries went in), and I had problems running gdb
on any executable, even a static-linked "hello.c". gdb would hang
whenever the inferior ran.

I think it would be useful to:

. pick a set of configurations to care about. I would pick
native hppa1.1-hp-hpux11.00 and native hppa2.0w-hp-hpux11.00 or native
hppa64-hp-hpux11.00. I don't know how many people in the field still
use hpux 10.20, but I think we need some triage here.

. build and test with the gdb 5.0 release tarball.

. roll forward from there and find the last working snapshots or
  CVS checkouts.
