But don't have readline and dejagnu have different maintainers that
might be of different opinions ?

dejagnu doesn't use readline. Just tcl & expect. Neither tcl nor expect
is hosted by sourceware.cygnus.com, so they're not an issue.
I'm only talking about projects that are physically hosted on
sourceware.cygnus.com
