I think i may have had it in some x86-linux builds, but I can't say
for sure.

I was justabout to start a host=x86-linux target=mipsisa64-elf
build/check, so i've thrown it in there.  Since that's still linux,
i've just started a host=sparc-solaris target=mips-elf build/check
too.

Assuming those go fine, OK to apply?
