The autoconf 2.5x manual, in node Subdirectories, describes the right way to do it, namely, place AC_CONFIG_SUBDIRS within the conditional that determines whether to configure a sub-directory. It even explains why it warns (so that configure --help=recursive can know of all sub-directories, without having to evaluate the conditionals). -- Alexandre Oliva Enjoy Guarana', see http://www.ic.unicamp.br/~oliva/ Red Hat GCC Developer aoliva@{redhat.com, gcc.gnu.org} CS PhD student at IC-Unicamp oliva@{lsd.ic.unicamp.br, gnu.org} Free Software Evangelist Professional serial bug killer
