I've rebased your patch on top of master and made the necessary changes to make it build (the equivalent changes that I did to linux-tdep.c and fbsd-tdep.c). You can find it on the users/simark/arm-none-core-file branch upstream: https://sourceware.org/git/?p=binutils-gdb.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/users/simark/arm-none-core-file Feel free to pick it up. I've also removed an xmalloc/xfree to use an std::string instead, but other than that I haven't made any other change. Simon
