Hello,

This patch re-formats the ``Remote Protocol'' section.  It replaces the 
@multitable with a more normal @table (and gets rid of all those hfull 
problems).

Since it is adding a number of sections, it uses them to fix the references.

Apart from that it doesn't change the text.  Fixing that is, I think, 
something for another day.

I've attached both the new text and the diff.
