I think the first is identical to i387_ext so is redundant. floatformat appears to have adopted the convention of using ARCH_ext to specify the format of ARCH's FP-register when spilling to memory. Andrew (dig dig, outch! IA64 defines big-endian i387_ext! Lets just ignore that one for now :-)
