Message-ID: <3B15D2C6.216543C0@pop.agri.ch> (raw)

Hello,

I was told to try here my luck.

Machine: Wallstreet PowerBook with linuxppc on it, details see below.

while trying to build the gdb-5.05 from ftp.linuxppc.org I failed to
compile core-regset.c and ppc-linux-nat.c.

Having a look at the fail I found the reason (think so). Attached a
patch which at least helps for building.

Could any one please comment?

Now first responses from the linuxppc-dev lists suggested to try the
latest sources from here:
http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/#download
I wasn't aware of this link, I got my src.rpm from ftp.linuxppc.org.

I'll do so. And I'll see if need to patch further.

Probably some parts are already fixed.... Then throw this part away.

Thanks for feedback.

BTW, I'm NOT on this list.

Thanks,

Andreas
