This is OK, but wouldn't it be even better to mention "info shar= ed" as the means to get the address of a file? Files added via the add-symbol-file command are not listed by "info shared"= . GDB has no command for listing files that have been added via add-symbol-file, unfortunately. But note that if the user needs to add a file manually then he certainly ha= s a side channel for getting the symbol-file information. For instance, in the test I submitted GDB read= s the address from the debuggee.
