It should. I just wasn't sure at the time I wrote the patch that we actually wanted to deprecate the commands. Since Tom proposed it as well, if there are no objection from others, I will do so, and update the NEWS entry accordingly (as well as add this entry for post 7.6 branch). -- Joel
