To make clear I am curious how anyone can have two different directories of the same name, I often use things like "find src -name foo" and do something with it. I see there exist different preferences. I would possibly be even for the re-consideration of moving to GIT and possible changing topleveldir and therefore possibly introducing toplevel gnulib and toplevel gdbserver as suggested by Doug etc. but in reality I would like this problem fixed ASAP, I have installed temporary patch into my build system, I have to base everyting off a special branch during development these days, more difficulty on remote hosts etc. Thanks, Jan
