The earlier series was derailed by the "errno" module; but later on Joel said it was ok to push ahead, and so that is what I am doing. Built and regtested on x86-64 Fedora 18, and also built using the Fedora->mingw cross compiler. This series is now based on my "common.m4" series from yesterday. Tom
